This albim can probably be taged as a Hard Bop or a Jazz recording. Though we find that categories usually are lacking this is probably as close as one can get. There are many pieces in this recording and we might find ourselves with a double cd. Some of these pieces date way back (15 years or more) and some are recent. Most of the pieces are originals but there are some standards like “Invitation”. This is another interesting fact about the album, while some of the originals are played more traditionaly some of the standards are played with a different touch. This album is mostly instrumental but has some great vocal pieces also.
